"It's the proud boast of Showdon'ttell that it is the only theatre company in Britain to use the teachings of American drama practitioner Viola Spolin.  Judging by this entertaining, often hilarious romp, with a mordant edge, others should follow the lead." - Barbara Lewis, The Stage

Relative Values  - Reviews

"Despite being a comedy classic, Relative Values is sadly still one of Noel Coward's lesser- performed works. Relishing the chance to deliver its fabulously-scathing put-downs and farcical yet somehow credible scenarios, the cast make the absolute most of the material with pitch-perfect delivery" - NewShopper (Brockley Jack run )

"the cast do Coward's witticisms a great service" - TimeOut

"a highly enjoyable evening" - Theatrenet

"Coward's play is fifty years old, and still attracts the sincerest guffaws" -  MusicOHM

"a superb evening's entertainment" - Dagenham and Barking Post

"Tight direction keeps comic timing precise and the cluttered, homely set speaks of genteel dowdiness rather than vulgar glitz." - News Shopper

"..had the audience veering between chuckles and guffaws throughout." - News Shopper

The Games Room - Review

"Moira Buffini's play The Games Room was on at Soho a few years ago, but she herself was indisposed for the duration of that short run, so Sunday night was the first time she'd seen the piece performed, under Daniel Brennan's smart direction. Wendy Albiston and Ben de Halpert were Barbara and Tom, locked in marital combat, to the death. They were terrific, exchanging barbs and taunts and verbal punches, finally falling in love again during a game of Russian roulette." - Internet review

Retired Hurt and Mad Margaret's Revenge - Reviews

Five Stars - Ham & High

Retired Hurt

"Retired Hurt affects its audience in such a way that the usual chatter at the interval is subdued. The humour concerns cricket and comically the timing is as good as one of Ian Botham's shots. But it is the psyche of a tortured rape victim turned rapist that stays in the memory." - Ham & High

"Jeffrey's script is dark, nightmarish and horribly funny and it's the unpredictability, along with two moving, impassioned performances by Ben de Halpert and Simon Money, that make this what it is. Oh - and the brilliant but sinister soundtrack." - The Stage

Mad Margaret's Revenge

"This is funny" - Ham & High

"With fine acting and excellent direction, Mad Margaret's Revenge makes us care about it's characters and beautifully underlines the company's ethos of engaging emotions." - London Theatre Review

"Brennan is a director who knows how to fully exploit his material, while Karen Graham and Brigid Lohrey are a vital combination with Lohrey as Margaret and Graham as her sly imaginary friend." - The Stage

Loveplay - Reviews

"I was very impressed with showdonttell's production of Loveplay. They got both the humour and the heart of the play. A strong, intelligent ensemble, beautifully directed. I look forward to their next show." - Moira Buffini

"Loveplay's strength is in its broad appeal...there is something for every type of spectator...a robust cast give their all in a production decently staged by Daniel Brennan. It is a minimalist show, in a small venue - but the intimacy of the setting serves them well. The bare bones of the play are revealed and the audience is drawn in. The company's adherence to Voila Spolin's teachings, which promote spontaneity and improvisation, is another positive. The play's amusing dialogue and appealing brashness combine with this approach to pleasing effect." - Hackney Gazette

"All of which gives new theatre company showdon'ttell ample opportunity to show off - and with the six actors each taking on at least five roles, all manage to shine."- Ham & High

"superior performance from the cast, amusing set-changes and genuine laughs make Loveplay an entertaining evening" - Fringe Report

"smart, pacy production" - Time Out

"From the new theatre company showdon'ttell and excellently directed ... Six actors perform over thirty roles between them and were consistent, funny, and intimate, the cast were superb...a very sexy exploration of love through the ages." - Islington Gazette
